Overview
In Sococo5k, there are certain terms that are often used by customers and agents. To improve understanding, review the list of the abbreviations and commonly used terms in Sococo5k.

Administrator |
Users who have full privileges to edit settings that impact all spaces and members in the Organization. |
Avatar |
Representation of a user within a Sococo5k Space. |
Chime |
AWS communications service that is used for in-app media solutions - microphone, camera, screen share. |
Floor |
Refers to Space. |
Home Room |
It is the default room where a Sococo5k user first lands whenever they log in, and where their avatar will be returned whenever the Return Home icon in the top navbar is clicked. |
Map |
Refers to the visual representation of a Space. Sococo5k provides maps with different layouts for both offices and classrooms to meet an organization's needs based on team sizes and room requirements. |
Member |
Users who are invited to join a Sococo5k space and given access to move around and interact with the other users in the same space |
Organization |
Customer's Organization/Company in Sococo5k. A user can belong to multiple organizations. |
Room |
An area within a space with a limited capacity of avatars. Each room has a door that can be locked in case access needs to be restricted. |
Room Share |
Links to files, documents, or presentations that can be added to a room. |
Space |
Represents a Space for an Organization, such as an office floor or a classroom. This is the main interaction area in Sococo5k. One Space always belongs to a single Organization and contains multiple Rooms. Organizations can have several spaces. Users can move between spaces but can be present in only one space at a time. |
Space Moderator |
Users who have space-level administrative privileges, that allow them to edit the space map and space name, remove or add members to the space, and grant and revoke Moderator privileges to and from other users in the same space. |
TCP |
TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) is a network protocol that lets two hosts connect and exchange data streams. TCP guarantees the delivery of data and packets in the same order as they were sent. |
UDP |
User Datagram Protocol (UDP) is a communications protocol that is used to establish low-latency and loss-tolerating connections between applications on the internet, such as streaming audio and video. |
Web app |
Refers to Sococo5k used through the Google Chrome application. |
