Overview
You wish to review or modify the profile settings for your Sococo5k user, including:
- Your user information: Name, email, and your organization memberships.
- Your user password.
- Your notifications condiguration.
- Your hotkeys configuration.
Solution
User Information
If you wish to update your user information, follow the steps below. Please note that your email address, organizations, and roles cannot be modified from the Profile page, they can only be reviewed.
- Click on your profile icon and select the Profile option.
- The following information will be displayed.
- First Name
- Last Name
- Language
- Organizations
- Role within each organization.
- Modify the information you want to update.
- Click on Save.
Password Reset
You cannot review your current password. You can only reset it following these steps:
- Click on your profile icon and select the Settings option.
- Under the General section, click on Change Password.
- Enter your current password.
- Enter a new password and confirm it.
- Click on Save.
General Settings & Notifications
Click on your profile icon, select the Settings option, and click on General Settings & Notifications under the General section. On this page, you can review your current configuration. If you wish to make any changes, refer to Configuring Notifications and Sounds and Enabling the Zoom to Room option for more information.
Hotkeys
Click on your profile icon, select the Settings option, and click on Hotkeys under the General section. On this page, you can review your current configuration. If you wish to make any changes, refer to Configuring Hotkeys.
Testing
After every change in your profile configuration is made, a success message will be displayed in the bottom left corner of the screen. You can verify if the changes were applied correctly by reloading your application and doing the following:
- If you updated your name, hover over your avatar and check if your new name is displayed.
- If you reset your password, log out and log back in t confirm if the new password works.
- If you modified your notifications settings, verify if in-app and desktop notifications are displayed for the events they were enabled for.
- If you modified your hotkeys configuration, go to your Sococo5k workspace and try out the configured hotkeys.
